DVRS provides pre-employment services for students 14 - 21 who are determined eligible. Services are also available after graduation.  A referral is made to DVRS to determine eligibility for these services. If eligible, the services may be provided by agencies or organizations funded by DVRS.

DVRS Paid Internships

AVIDD, an organization that provides DVRS services, provides paid internships for students who apply and are determined eligible. The paid internship consists of 3 phases:

• Initial online training with job exploration

• Paid internship 150 hours $18/hr (agencies partner with various businesses who host internships)

• Online training to reflect on the experience, develop goals, and further prepare for employment

AVIDD has announced summer internships

• AVIDD Community Services of NJ

Students 14+ may be eligible for DVRS Pre-Employment Services: 

• Job Exploration 

• Counseling for PostSecondary Training or Education

• Workplace Readiness

• Self Advocacy

• Supported Work Based Learning & Internships

To Receive Services From DVRS 

1. Sign/Complete Referral Form and Release Form (below)
